Mac Pro supports up to 768GB of quad-channel 2666MHz DDR4 ECC memory for the 8-core Intel Xeon processor, up to 768GB of six-channel 2933MHz DDR4 ECC memory for the 12-core and 16-core Intel Xeon processors, and up to 1.5TB of six-channel 2933MHz DDR4 ECC memory for the 24-core and 28-core Intel Xeon processors.

With more memory in your Mac Pro, you can run more apps simultaneously and work with larger data sets with a higher rate of performance. Your Mac Pro is also user accessible with 12 physical DIMM slots, so in the future you can upgrade to more memory that is compatible with your processor.

The 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB DDR4 modules are R-DIMMs; the 64GB and 128GB DDR4 modules are LR-DIMMs. Mac Pro supports R-DIMM and LR-DIMM memory modules, but the two DIMM types cannot be used in the same system.

Mac Pro can be configured with up to 8TB of fast NVMe-based SSD storage. SSD storage delivers significantly improved performance compared with a traditional hard drive — speed you will notice when you start up your Mac Pro, launch an application, open a big project, or tackle data-intensive tasks. SSD storage has no moving parts, so it operates silently. And Mac Pro storage is powered by the Apple T2 Security Chip and is always encrypted.

Feet or Wheels

The standard Mac Pro has a stainless steel frame with feet, which is a good option if you don’t need to move your Mac Pro away from your workspace very often.

Customize your Mac Pro to have a stainless steel frame with wheels, which is ideal for moving your Mac Pro quickly and easily without having to lift it. Configuring your Mac Pro with wheels makes it about an inch taller than the frame with feet.

Mac Pro comes with silver-and-black input devices. Both Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Trackpad 2 are wireless and rechargeable, so you won’t have to replace any batteries. Magic Mouse 2 comes standard with your Mac Pro, or you can choose Magic Trackpad 2.

Magic Mouse 2
The design of Magic Mouse 2 lets it glide smoothly across your desk. And since it supports Mutti-Touch, you can use simple gestures on its surface to do things such as swipe between web pages and scroll through documents. So if you prefer using a wireless mouse but want some of the benefits of Multi-Touch, Magic Mouse 2 is a great choice.



Magic Trackpad 2
If you prefer using a trackpad, Magic Trackpad 2 gives you the full range of Multi-Touch gestures and Force Touch technology on the desktop. Sensors underneath the trackpad surface detect subtle differences in the amount of pressure you apply, bringing more functionality to your fingertips and enabling a deeper connection to your content. The design also features a low profile, making it extremely comfortable to use.

Magic Keyboard
The redesigned Magic Keyboard comes standard with your iMac. It’s wireless and rechargeable (so you won’t be replacing batteries), and its ultracompact, edge-to-edge design wastes no surface space. Magic Keyboard has full-size function keys and a low profile that increases control and comfort. And it pairs automatically with your iMac straight out of the box.

Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad has an extended layout with document navigation controls for quick scrolling, full-size arrow keys and a numeric keypad. Like Magic Keyboard, it’s designed with a low profile for control and comfort. And the built-in, rechargeable battery lasts long enough to power your keyboard for about a month or more between charges.1

macOS lets you choose your preferred language for use throughout the OS, including apps, menu bar, dialog boxes, and for reading and writing text. Select any of the languages supported by macOS during the setup process at any time using System Preferences.
